About this recipe
I was craving pizza, but without the proving and the complicated dough prep. And so the picadilla was born! It's a simple recipe that combines the best of both worlds: the crunch of a quesadilla and the flavours of pizza. And it's all ready in a few minutes – no kneading, no waiting, you just fill it, toast it and yum!

A recipe that's quick and healthy at the same time
Often we simply don't have the time (or the energy) to make a classic pizza, but the craving for melted cheese and tomato sauce stays. That's where this recipe comes in handy, which is:
What's in it?
This picadilla combines all the key elements of a perfect pizza:
How to serve it?
You can serve the picadilla just as you would a classic pizza, but there are plenty of ways to enrich it further and adapt it to your taste. If you're a fan of classic Italian flavours, you can top it with fresh basil leaves, which add a refreshing aroma and emphasise the traditional touch. If you prefer your food a little spicier, a sprinkle of chilli flakes or chilli oil will bring a pleasant warmth and a hint of heat that goes wonderfully with the tomato sauce.
And if you'd like to add a bit of creamy contrast, you can serve vegan sour cream or an avocado spread on the side, which will enrich the dish with a soft texture and a lovely freshness. For those of you who like to experiment with flavours, you can also try different sauces – vegan aioli, tahini dressing or even a lightly spiced hummus are great choices that will add a whole new dimension of flavour.
I hope the picadilla wins you over – enjoy!
