Vegan "tuna" spread
VEGAN | SUGAR-FREE | GLUTEN-FREE
About this recipe
Did you know you can make a tuna spread the vegan way? Together with Tjaša @goingplant I made a really simple recipe for you, done in just 3 steps! The base is mashed chickpeas, which give the spread the texture of tuna, while also providing protein and keeping us full for longer. For a taste of the sea we can add nori seaweed – use it already ground, or grind it yourself in a coffee grinder. The spread is creamy and refreshing, a perfect starter or side for family get-togethers – and it also goes wonderfully on a Christmas table.
This spread will win over absolutely everyone, regardless of dietary habits. You can serve it with crackers, breadsticks, toasted bread, bread rolls or vegetable sticks. If you need a recipe for homemade seed crackers (which, by the way, are made completely without oil), the recipe is HERE.
