About this recipe

These Prešeren balls are a snack that my mum and I made already in my childhood. The recipe is very simple and also a great way to use up old biscuits that may be a bit dry by now or that we simply won't eat. At the heart of the balls is a dried fig stuffed with walnut, surrounded by a layer of biscuit mixture coated in chocolate. You can easily make the recipe gluten-free – just use biscuits and plant-based milk that contain no gluten. I like to serve the balls cut into quarters or halves.
